Helping customers through the bail bonds process

Bail Bonds Process
Your bond is set, usually at what is called “first appearance.” First appearance is your first time to see a judge. At first appearance, you may plead guilty or no contest and be sentenced immediately; or you may plead not guilty. If you plead not guilty, a bond will be set, and you will be given a date for Arraignment.

Call someone who can help with the process of getting you out of jail. The person who agrees to help you will be required to come to our office to complete informational forms and to pay the premium, which is the amount that is charged for writing the bond. By law, the minimum charge for a bond is $100.00. If your bond is $1,000.00 or less, the charge will be $100.00 If your bond is more than $1,000.00, the charge will be 10% of the bond. Each charge has a separate bond which is not refundable. Collateral may or may not be necessary and it is on a case by case basis.

Bonds Man will write the bond and deliver it to the Bay County Jail. Jail personnel will process the bond, and you will be released. The entire process may take as long as 2 to 4 hours.

Upon release from the County Jail, you will be required to appear in our office so that we can obtain basic information about you and explain to you the conditions of your bond. When you are released from the jail, your deadline for reporting to our office is noon the following day. When your report to our office, you should be prepared to provide us with personal information, i.e.: name, address, telephone numbers, place of employment, employment phone number, and 4 references with addresses and phone numbers. If you wear eyeglasses, please bring them with you.

It is our mission to help you through this process from your arrest until such time as your case is completely finished. We are not concerned with your guilt or innocence. We are concerned only with getting you released from custody so that you can effectively participate in your defense.
